Overhead traction elevators are typically found in mid and high-rise applications.

A machine room, located at the top of the hoistway, houses both the controller and either a geared or gearless machine. The machine moves the car up and down via cables, sheaves and counterweights.

We offer overhead traction elevators in a variety of sizes. They can also be customized for nearly any project. Most need to accommodate an ambulance gurney and have a 2-hour fire rating due to higher travel.

We can also produce custom sizes.
